Maa Bhuasini Club (Cuttack) won the title in the Inter-District Club Football Tournament, defeating Bir Singh Club (Jharsuguda) by a solitary goal in the final at Sundargarh Stadium in Sudargarh today. Champions Maa Bhuasini Club, runners-up Bir Singh Club along with losing semifinalists Gandhi Club (Sundargarh) and Unit-VI Athletic Association (Bhubnaeswar) qualified for the final round of the forthcoming All-India Kalinga Cup Football Tournament.
Sundargarh District Athletic Association hosted the championship, under the aegis of Football Association of Odisha at Sundargarh Stadium and Kundukela Jublee Field from March 11. Local MLA Yogesh Kumar Singh handed over the trophy in the presence of Sundargargh District Athletic Association secretary Durga Madhab Naik.
